Rhys Muir

About

I graduated from Newcastle University with a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise science in 2023. Following an internship with the amazing Dr Annette Pantall, studying a smart wearable band for EMG measurement, I immediately began working for the Newcastle Fibrosis Research Group as a lab manager. My role within the group focuses on health and safety, procurement, administration and the day-to-day running of the lab. As well as lab manager, I am pursuing an education and thereby a career in bioinformatics. The aim of this is to be able to assist my colleagues and provide a specialist data-driven approach to the research we do here.
