About

I’m in my final year PhD at Newcastle University. My PhD project focuses on regulation of active L1 retrotransposition and expression in HCC related cell lines and also to study the potential of HCV infection to reactivate retrotransposons and/or retrotransposition. I joined the NFRG in Nov 2020 as a research assistant. My current project focuses on the biology and immunobiology of epithelial cells in damaged tissue with a particular focus on Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).
