About
I graduated from Northumbria University in 2016 with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences during which I completed my dissertation project ‘The Influence of Red Bull on two point discrimination in humans’. Having enjoyed the research element of my undergraduate dissertation I decided to undertake a Masters of Research (MRes) in Immunobiology to further pursue a career in science.
The Research element of my MRes is titled ‘Evaluating Lung precision cut slices as a model of inflammation and fibrosis’. I have developed an array of practical skills throughout my MRes including experience with Precision Cut Lung Slices (PCLS), ELISA, real time PCR and Immunohistochemistry.
I am pleased to be joining the Newcastle Fibrosis Research Group as a Research Technician in August 2017.
