I am an experienced laboratory technician with an extensive research background in Agriculture. I worked in a wide variety of Laboratory Research Assistant and Internship posts in Spain and the USA before moving to Newcastle University in April 2013.
My first post at Newcastle was with the Paediatric Brain Tumour Group based in the Northern Institute for Cancer Research where I worked as a Research Technician under the supervision of Dr Daniel Williamson. My role involved the collection, processing and analysis of RNA/DNA/Protein/Chromatin by qPCR as well as Chromatin immunoprecipitation and Western Blotting, Mammalian cell culture, and Lentiviral infection of malignant rhabdoid tumour cells.
