Strontium

Strontium is a naturally occurring element and found in drinking-water due to dissolving soil and bedrock.

Limit 

WHO does not offer guidance on the limit of strontium in drinking water; however, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) advises on a limit of 4mg/l

Symptoms of Strontium Contamination: 

  • Can impact bone and dental growth in infants
  • Associated with increased bone density in adults
