Manganese

Manganese is an abundant metal and usually occurs alongside iron; it is a component of many minerals but is not found naturally in its elemental form. 

WHO Limit 

0.4 mg/l - however, this is far above the taste threshold of 0.1 mg/l

Symptoms of Manganese Contamination

In concentrations above 0.1mg/l, manganese can cause an unpleasant taste in drinking-water; however, this level of concentration will have no negative effects on human health
