We aim to make sure everyone has the opportunity to succeed in gaining a ONE Planet studentship, and we are here to guide you through the process.

Everyone is welcome to attend but we are particularly looking to support applicants from the following key areas:

  • UK applicants who are Black, Chinese, Asian, Arabic, or of another non-white ethnicity
  • Graduates who are from the first generation in their family to go to university
  • Applicants who have caring responsibilities

Other resources & funding opportunities

1. Training workshop opportunity for Black and Global Majority women interested in doctoral studies.

Generation Delta has recently culminated its initial set of advice and guidance workshops, and it is starting training sessions for skill development of undergraduate, PGT students and alumni who identify as Black, Asian and minority ethnic women who might be interested in pursuing doctoral studies. 

This free training workshop will take place at the University of Plymouth on Tuesday 11th June 2024 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. In addition, Generation Delta are offering transport reimbursement up to £100 and catering. Unfortunately, they cannot cover accommodation. There are 25 spaces available. Please do not make any travel arrangements until after you receive an email from us offering you a place.

This workshop will offer two interactive training sessions led by expert instructors on:

  • Funding opportunities available to undertake doctoral study
  • Writing a research proposal to apply for doctoral study
