BEST comes with simple homework booklets these are given to the child to talk home after each of the 16 sessions, allowing caregivers to provide extra language support at home. The focus again is on listening; the children hear the sentences that they heard in the group session in school. This can help them to develop a model of how different spoken sentences are formed.
At the end of each booklet is a star that can be cut out and added to a star chart.
