About

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences with honours in Pharmacology in 2023. Within my final year I completed a dissertation project which investigated the effects of anti-arrhythmic drugs in the treatment of atrial fibrillation in heart failure patients, using a novel computational modelling pipeline. This project highlighted my interest in scientific research and I wanted to continue this, specifically within cardiovascular research.

I am currently completing a PhD within NFRG under the supervision of Dr. Lee Borthwick and Prof. Fiona Oakley, which is kindly funded by both NC3R’s and British Heart Foundation. This project is investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms which drive cardiac fibrosis, through the use of an ex-vivo model for target identification and validation.
