Margherita di Savoia

Leyla Elyasizad (ESR 10)

  • Date: 4May 2023
  • Place: Margherita di Savoia, the link: https://margheritadisavoiaroma.edu.it/, location (Via Cerveteri 53-57 Roma)
  • Title of the presentation: Social Brain/Social Cognition (yet to decide in detail)
  • Brief description:
Talking about Prefrontal Cortex and Orbitofrontal Cortex, including the evolutionary part, their development through our life, and their role in social life. I will include these topics as well, but in a general way as a story:
Where am "I" in my brain?
Do we process information about others and ourselves in the same way?
Is social information processing the same for everyone, or is it affected by individual and cultural differences?
References for this talk: Cognitive Neuroscience by M. Gazzaniga, and Social Brain by M. Lieberman. I am planning to add some topics like Self-Referential processing from the "Social Brain" book. Of course, the final version of this talk would be modified considering the context, as I will present in high school.
