This knowledge Transfer Secondment has embedded a TORG researcher into the automotive telematics supplier RDM. The object of the secondment is to share and transfer research experienced gained in the EPSRC project Footlite (on eco-driving feedback systems) and various electric vehicle trial projects in the NE of England to develop innovative mobile phone applications to support electric vehicle divers and charging infrastructure owners.
Several applications are under development as is the refinement of data logging equipment and services that are currently offered by RDM.
The development of longer term strategic projects with RDM is also a priority for the secondment.
