Ubiquitin Paper Published

Fibrosis Group Research Associate Dr Caroline Wilson (right) is the first named author on our latest paper "Ubiquitin C-Terminal Hydrolase 1 (UCHL1); A Novel Functional Marker for Liver Myofibroblasts and a Therapeutic Target in Chronic Liver Disease" which has been published in the Journal of Hepatology.

The publication shows how Ubiquitin, a reversible protein modification involved in the major cellular processes that define cell phenotype and behaviour, is a potential as a therapeutic target for fibrosis drugs. A link to the publication online can be found here.

Fibrosis Group Director and last named author on the publication Prof Derek Mann (below) said "We are delighted that Caroline's paper has been accepted by the highest ranking hepatology journal.
