Week 3 Webinar Information

Test your phonological awareness in a language unfamiliar to you

This webinar focuses on the phonological awareness that constitutes the foundation for reading and writing skills in languages whose writing systems use the Roman alphabet. During the webinar you will apply your skills to identify words, syllables, onsets, rimes, and phonemes as you are take listening-based tests in two languages with which you are unlikely to be familiar. The aim is to experience for yourself the challenges faced by the learners you teach as they develop the skills to make grapheme-phoneme correspondences in a new language.
