Based on a consortium agreement signed by all partners, the partners in the project established a Project Management Committee (PMC) as the highest decision-making body in the project. The PMC comprises the Project Co-ordinators (Phillimore and Zaman) and all the WP leaders, as well as the lead of each partner organisation.
The main functions of the PMC are to oversee and coordinate project activities with special attention to the completion of milestones and outputs/deliverables from each WP developed, and to discuss how to solve any problems that may arise during the implementation of the project. It also plays a role in monitoring the project and approval of annual workplans for institutions and agreement on the annual distribution of research funds.
The PMC also defines and implements project policy, deal with contractual issues and manage the presentation and dissemination of results outside the consortium. The PMC drafts separate policy documents on ethics and equality of opportunity, and the adequacy of these is reviewed by the Project Monitoring and Advisory Committee (ProMAC).
