Workshops
A number of training workshops will be organised to enhance the knowledge and skills of researchers from the Mediterranean partner institutions.
At least one workshop will be based around the methods and techniques of research in each of four disciplines:
- epidemiology
- health economics
- environmental health
- medical anthropology
The need for more advanced training workshops will be defined by the needs assessment exercise which forms an early component of the capacity building process (WP3). At least three workshops will focus on refining the skills of grant applications and writing papers for publication in international peer-reviewed journals.
Workshops will be hosted across partner institutions. These workshops are the cornerstone of this project. They will act as a medium for building partnerships between participants, out of which research collaboration can develop. Training materials will be developed.
