Virtual Cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats

Dr Kirsty Wilson was due to take part in an epic 1000 mile, 9 day bike ride from Lands End to John O'Groats in September 2020 to raise money for CRUK, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the event has been postponed until 2021. 

Kirsty is not letting this stop her from supporting the charity and she has undertaken a local version of the event. Over 6 weeks Kirsty aims to cover the 1000 miles between Lands End and John O'Groats by bike or by foot as she goes about her days under lockdown in Newcastle.

With 232 miles already in the bag, she has 768 left to cover before 31st May.

Incredibly, Kirsty still plans to take part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain challenge next year, raising even more money to go towards important research to help the fight against cancer.
