Race for Life 2024

It has become something of a tradition now for researchers from the Drug Discovery Unit to take part in Race for Life events and this year was no exception, with many looking forward to the return of the hugely popular events to Newcastle in July.

Unfortunately, the weekend dawned cloudy, wet and miserable, but safe to say the weather didn’t dampen spirits and certainly made the Pretty Muddy course, well…muddier!

Several Medicinal Chemists and Chemical Biologist took part in the charity’s much-loved events over the weekend, having great fun along the way and most importantly, raising funds for life-saving research.
