Cancer Research UK Shine Night Walk 2024

Saturday 5^th October saw the return of the Shine Night Walk to Newcastle and taking part to raise funds for Cancer Research UK were two of our colleagues, Dr Ute Jungwirth (Senior Lecturer, Cancer Drug Discovery) and Dr Suzannah Harnor (Senior Research Associate, Medicinal Chemistry). Together they joined hundreds of other ‘shiners’ to help light up the streets of Newcastle and Gateshead. The 10k route took in many city landmarks, including a midway pit stop outside the Drug Discovery building!

Two weeks later, Suzannah met up with former Newcastle Drug Discovery colleagues to take part in the Cambridge event, a similar 10k walk around the streets and colleges of the beautiful city.
