Celine Cano is a Reader in Medicinal Chemistry. Celine was previously a BBSRC Research Associate at the University of Manchester (2004-2005), before becoming a CRUK Research Fellow at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research (NICR) (2006-2008), then a Newcastle University Lecturer and Senior Lecturer. Her contributions to cancer drug discovery were recognised in 2016 through the award of the Elsevier Reaxys Prize for Medicinal Chemistry. She is also the academic lead for the Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology Group within the Newcastle University School of Natural and Environmental Sciences. University profile.
