CRUK Race for Life 2021

After a year's hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the popular Race for Life fundraising event returned to Newcastle on Sunday 3rd October 2021, with measures in place to help keep participants safe. 

The wind and rain didn’t dampen spirits as hundreds of people, including Newcastle researchers, descended on the Town Moor to take part. The Newcastle DDU was well represented, with both medicinal chemists and structural biologists taking part in the Pretty Muddy event. Cameron, Hannah, Jess and Matt even took part in the 10k as well!

Money raised will help scientists find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, saving lives as the charity fights back from the impact of the pandemic.
