Thank you for visiting the Bulbul project page for researchers.

Bulbul is an ESRC GCRF funded project bringing together researchers and practitioners from Newcastle University (UK), University of Plymouth (UK), Université Saint-Joseph (Lebanon), Birzeit University (Palestine) and Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan).

The multi-disciplinary team includes Linguists and Developmental Psycholinguists, Speech and Language Therapists, Audiologists, Educators, Psychologists and Human-Computer Interaction Experts with extensive experience working with language assessment tools, multilingualism and early language development among other areas.

We aim to conduct research which benefits children and families and informs practitioner and policy makers. We also hope our work is of benefit to other researchers interested in Arabic and multilingual language development, and early intervention and education approaches to promote language development.

We are also working to collate all Arabic CDIs to increase accessibility for researchers. Please feel free to use these, with citations, and contact us if you have a version you would like to add.
