For Practitioners

Thank you for visiting the Bulbul project page for practitioners.

Bulbul is an ESRC GCRF funded project bringing together researchers and practitioners from Newcastle University (UK), University of Plymouth (UK), Université Saint-Joseph (Lebanon), Birzeit University (Palestine) and Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan).

The multi-disciplinary team includes Linguists and Developmental Psycholinguists, Speech and Language Therapists, Audiologists, Educators, Psychologists and Human-Computer Interaction Experts with extensive experience working with language assessment tools, multilingualism and early language development among other areas.

Our project aims to develop tools for measuring Arabic-speaking children's language development which can be used by practitioners and researchers. This page is designed for practitioners who work with children and are concerned about their language development. Under the tabs on the left you will find information and updates about the Bulbul project especially for practitioners, as well as helpful resources to support your work with families. We are also working to collate all Arabic dialect CDIs to increase accessibility for practitioners.

Over the course of the project we will develop these pages to include new resources from our collaborators and networks so please check back. You can also follow us on Twitter to keep up to date with the project.
