Technology and interaction design

‌ROMtels uses technology to support learning.

ROMtels software supports educators to deliver their own enquiries to suit their children’s needs.  This uses home languages as well as English (or French or Finnish or Romanian) to give children access to ideas and concepts in more than one language.  ROMtels software is available for free: click here to download ROMtels software.

Our first installation at Arthur's Hill Federation of primary schools in Newcastle combines two technologies to create an innovative learning environment:

  • 360 digital projection offers an immersive and exciting space for children.  Using images and videos can transform a classroom into any location in the world, at any time in the past, present or future.
  • The digital tabletop offers opportunities for collaborative problem solving that go beyond what paper-based activities can offer.
