Prof S Boussakta (PI) leads the CSSP Group. He has over 23 years research experience in digital signal processing and communications. His major research contributions are in the areas of fast transforms and algorithms for communications and signal processing applications, encryption techniques, bio-inspired technologies and e-health.

Overall Said has supervised over 60 PhD students successfully including 6 in cyber security related topics.
Currently Said is supervising 6 PhD students including two working on Encryption one in novel encryption techniques for light weight security and the other in Quantam encryption
