Dr Stephen Riddle

Dr Steve Riddle is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing at Newcastle. After completing his PhD at the University of Bath, he joined the Centre for Software Reliability in 1996 as a research associate to work on development of novel techniques for safety analysis of software-based systems. Steve was appointed to a lectureship in 2001 and has extensive experience in teaching topics including software engineering, high integrity software development, dependable systems and real-time and cyber-physical systems. He has been a member of the organising committee for several conferences including Safecomp 2008 (27th international conference on Computer Safety, Reliability and Security) and Ada-Europe 2011 (16th International Conference on Reliable Software Technologies), which he co-chaired. With members of the ACE-CSR team he lead development of a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) in the topic of "Cyber Security: Safety at Home, Online, in Life" in 2016.
