Workshop on Refining Evidence-based Methods in Cyber Security Research

The workshop aimed at discussing how to advance evidence-based methods in cyber security research. Day One offered a reflection on the past and current state, with keynotes by us on the state-of-play of the field and Oxford scientist Ben Goldacre on Bad Science. Day Two focused on the future, how to advance evidence-bsaed methods in the field, incl. keynotes by Roy Maxion on dependable experimentation and Malte Elson on research standards.
Twenty-five international experts on evidence-based methods in cyber security research joined forces for this conversation, incl. programme committee chairs and members of relevant venues, principal investigators of evidence-based projects, RISCS members, and funders.
