About our Project

The project is led by Newcastle University, Population Health Sciences Institute, in close parnership with Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. The project also involves further NHS Trusts and organisations.  Full details can be found on the Research Team  page.

As the research is about understanding children, young people and parent-carers' experiences of changes to services, the research team thought it was vital that children, young people and parent-carers had a say in how the research project is run. We are working with parent-carer and young person advisory groups throughout the research project, from design of research documents to interpretation and understanding of the research findings.  If you are a parent-carer or a young person interested in being involved in the advisory groups, you can contact Hannah:

The study is running from September 2021 to October 2022. It had several stages and work packages, please click on the stages on the left to find out more about the findings from each work package.
