One Planet Researcher Francesca Trotman wins award at COP29

Francesca is the Managing Director and founder of Love the Oceans, a non-profit marine conservation organisation supporting Jangamo Bay in Mozambique. Working with the local community, the organisation helps to protect and study the diverse marine life found in the bay, including many species of sharks, rays and humpback whales. Love the Oceans uses research, education and diving to drive action towards a more sustainable future. 

Francesca and Love the Oceans Marine Biologist, Yudmila Chunguane, accepted the award on behalf of the team at COP29 in recognition of their gender equity projects in Mozambique.
