Welcome Dr Andrew Coughtrie

‌NUFEB are pleased to welcome Dr Andrew Coughtrie to the Large Scale Modelling team.

Andrew has a background in numerical modelling with experience coupling computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with biokinetic models. He has recently completed his PhD on coupling biokinetic algal growth with CFD models. Andrew will be working with the modelling team on coupling the fluid dynamics processes and biological processes in activated sludge reactors as well as working on validating the models using data collected from the pilot plant.
