NUFEB Annual Meeting at Crathorne Hall- June 2018

Members of the NUFEB team got together for a day of progress updates, discussion and planning for the final year of the project. After each of the teams had presented a short update of their work to date, the attendees split into smaller groups to discuss resources needed to finish their work, improvements that could be made to how the project is managed and how to ensure good career progression and staff retention for the rest of the project and beyond. Many useful suggestions were made, such as having designated writing days to get members of the team from different departments and disciplines in the same place to write publications and grant applications together.

After a hearty lunch, discussion moved to planning for the remainder of the project, including what each of the sub-teams hopes to achieve in this time and any strategies they want to use or resources they need to make sure they meet their goals. The meeting closed with group discussions of the future, what will happen after the end of the current EPSRC grant and an excellent dinner.
