We currently have vacancies for two research associates, one to work on the Large Scale Modelling team and the other on the Synthetic Biology team.

D65421R- Research Assistant/ Associate (Parallel Optimiser)

Th Large Scale modelling team are looking for a parallel programming specialist to extend and develop a large scale biological simulation model built around LAMMPS. Although the codebase for LAMMPS is already parallel the extensions of an Individual Based Model simulation of microbial cells is yet to be parallelised and will form the initial focus for this work.

D66434R - Research Associate (SynBio)

The Synthetic biology team want to recruit a microbiologist, with experience in genetic manipulation. The scientist recruited will be responsible for engineering organisms initially through directed evolution techniques, then moving on to synthetic biology approaches where model-driven design is used to guide the engineering of microbial systems.
