The French Chemical Engineering Society (SFGP)

SFGP regroups, at the French level, all persons who are involved in the field of Chemical and Process Engineering : researchers, teachers, industrialists and manufacturers from all sectors : chemicals, oil, pharmacy , cosmetic, food , metallurgy , energy, water treatment ... It includes about 500 members.

SFGP mission is to promote Chemical and Process Engineering and to favor exchanges between Academia and Industry SFGP encompasses 17 working groups in the fields as diversified as : Agitation and Mixing , Product Engineering, Energy, Food Processing, Engineering and Biotechnology, Separation Engineering, Formulation, Computer Aided Process Engineering, Process Intensification, Reaction Engineering, Safety, Thermodynamics , Water and Air Treatment, Waste Treatment, Polymers, Divided Solids and Education. Each Thematic Group organizes scientific meetings, debates and symposia regrouping people who have expressed interest in the topic.

SFGP publishes a newsletter "Procédique" which highlights the activities of the Working Groups and informs on current events.

SFGP National Congress takes place every other year.

SFGP shares European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) and European Society of Biochemical Engineering Sciences (ESBES) secretariat with Dechema and IChemE.
