International Balkan University LogoThe International Balkan University (IBU) is a non-profitable higher education institution, founded in 2006 by the Foundation for Education and Culture Skopje. The first cycle study programmes at IBU are carried out within five accredited Faculties:  Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Languages, Faculty of Communications, and Faculty of Fine Arts. At this moment, the process of the accreditation of new 12 study programs and reaccreditation of the 7 existing programs is on-going in both Macedonia and Turkey.  

IBU has established cooperation with both public and private domestic universities and universities from the Balkan region, including Turkey. The official correspondence language at the University, including the language at which the lectures are delivered is English, which additionally makes IBU attractive for students from Macedonia and the Balkans as well. IBU registers totally 504 students, of which 269 are home and 235 are foreign students.
