FZJ is one of the largest interdisciplinary research institutes in Europe (5800 + employees). Continuous strategic development ensures that it can successfully perform its tasks for society and the economy in a rapidly changing enviroment. FZJ has a strong focus on brain research through several research programmes developed at the 'Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine'. In particular, the research perfomed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine, Computational and Systems Neuroscience (INM-6), aims at developing multi-scale models of the brain. It performs data-driven development of brain theory and statistical analysis methods which enable the study of network interactions and dynamics related to behaviour.
