Masters Degree

The Computer Game Engineering MSc equips you with the skills and knowledge required to develop computer game software and provides an international perspective on advancements in computer game development. We focus on the range of technical skills required by the computer game industry, including an understanding of advanced programming techniques, graphics, game engine technologies and teamwork. The programme prepares you to work in the computer game industry and related creative industries.

The course is accredited BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT.

 

The Masters programme consists of seven modules:

During the second term, there are a series of workshops and industrial seminars. There is also a Team Project, wherein each team is given a similar brief with a lot of leeway for development.
During the third term, each student works on an individual project, and accompanying dissertation. Each Project Example includes a video of the work. 

The Industrial Advisory Board, consisting of UK games industry professionals and potential employers, provides advice on the course content, as well as a series of technical lectures, project supervision and support.
