Rana Bassaj graduated with a BS in Pure Mathematics and expected to graduate in Spring 2023 with an MA in Mathematics Education from the American University of Beirut. She has been interested in the challenges faced by students in mathematics and science classrooms in multilingual settings, and how educational design and teacher development can support student learning in these settings. For this reason, she has been engaged in many research and development projects that focused on multilingual contexts, especially in Lebanon
