Olivier Govaere's Poster in AASLD

Dr. Olivier Govaere, Post-doctoral researcher at NFRG has participated in Amercian Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Liver meeting 2017 to present his poster in Poster Session IV (Steatohepatitis: experimental) on Monday, October 23rd.

Entitled "Lipopolysaccharide increases the release of CXCL5 in an ex-vivo model for human non-alcoholic liver disease", this current study showed that our human liver precision-cut liver slice bioreactor represents a dynamic system to model the metabolic, fibrotic and inflammatory features in the progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

The brilliant results of this study have been obtained in the frame of the EPoS project (Elucidating Pathways of Steatohepatitis) funded by the European Commision through the Horizon2020 funding scheme and coordinated by Prof Quentin Anstee, Professor of Experimental Hepatology at Newcastle University.
