Aeration

Aeration of water allows water and air to mix, this can remove some gases such as carbon dioxide, as well as oxidises dissolved metals.

How to use:

Water can be aerated by:

  • Shaking a vessel
  • Allowing water to trickle through perforated trays containing small stones
  • Allow water to flow over stepped layers.

Aerated water must then be filtered, for example through sand filtration.
