Centre for Financial Studies (CFS)-University of Athens
The Centre for Financial Studies was established at the end of 1990 by the departments of
Business Economics and Finance at the University of Athens. The Centre aims to promote and
undertake research into issues of business economics and finance. The activities of the Centre include:
Undertaking applied research into finance and economic growth with particular
reference to the Greek economy;
Undertaking applied research into issues of growth;
Offering training programmes for University graduates and business
executives,
Offering training programmes for graduates in order to develop their professional
skills in finance,
The development of databases for the international and Greek capital
markets. These are considered essential for the study of finance;
The development of links with other Greek and foreign universities,
institutions and businesses, in accordance with the above aims and objectives.
The Centre for Financial Studies will lead the international thematic study into the virtual university and information society initiatives
and undertake regional case studies in Attiki and Kriti.
