SusTEM, the Sustainable Thermal Energy Management Network is open to all organisations with an interest in realising thermal energy management technologies and solving related technical, social or policy issues and problems.
We build on the work of the previous PRO-TEM initiative to include national and international participants from process industries, buildings & transport sectors and academics from a variety of disciplines.

The PRO-TEM Network (http://research.ncl.ac.uk/pro-tem/) was established in 2009 with support from EPSRC with the aim to enhance the study and utility of efficient thermal energy management in the process industries.
The project was completed in September 2012 with a substantial number of important outcomes achieved.
The work of the EPSRC Thermal Energy Management research projects, PRO-TEM Network, and other initiatives, have supported a wide range of process industry in reducing their energy usage, CO2 emissions, and costs. This has contributed methodologies to improve competitiveness and potentially greater energy security across the entire UK.
The SusTEM network builds upon this success to be a multi-disciplinary forum working across all sectors which intensively use thermal energy.
