Associate Prof Rita Afonso

Rita Afonso holds a PhD in Production Engineering Sciences (UFRJ) and is a Marketing Professor and Extension Coordinator at the Faculty of Administration and Accounting Sciences of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ, Brazil. She is an associate researcher at the Laboratory of Technology and Social Development and the DESIS Network - Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability - both in the Graduate Program in Production Engineering at UFRJ. As a researcher, she works within the LASIN - Latin American Social Innovation Network (co-funded by the European Commission) and as a Co-investigator at Sustainable Consumption, Middle Classes and Agri-food Ethics in the Global South research.
