Steering Committee
The Research Buddies Steering Committee acts as a gatekeeper, ensuring that all RB-associated projects and participants follow RB protocols and adhere to the strict codes of ethics and security set forth by Newcastle University. Before a research team can approach schools about collaborating with pupils, their project must be approved by both the Newcastle University Ethics Committee and by the Research Buddies Steering Committee. This added level of supervision and direction is what sets RB-associated projects apart.
