Symposium

In collaboration with our partners Arts&Heritage, our online symposium will be held on 23 January 2024. Focusing on learning from our project the day will include presentations from commissioned artists Marcus Coates, Mark Fairnington, Ruth Ewan, and Hanna Tuulikki, alongside Q&A sessions, and panel discussions with heritage professionals from National Trust and The Bewick Society.

Key themes to be discussed include: the role of digital as a space for re-presenting on-site commissioned works; the impacts of this work on heritage and arts audiences; the role of digital in expanding access to small-scale heritage sites; digital as a space for creating longer-term legacy for temporary commissioned artworks.

See the On-Site/Off-Site Symposium Invitation for details on how to book a place for this event.

Post-symposium we will be sharing recordings of key presentations from the event and a summary of our thoughts from the day.
