Did you read aloud to them?

Yes, I did. Yes, I was a bit for doing that. I’ve always like to read aloud. I still do, a bit I like to read aloud to myself when I’m in the house, just to get a different feel for the book. And poetry; I like to read poetry aloud. I feel like I never really get quite the same sort of ... I don’t know, the response or sort of the interpretation or the understanding, if you necessarily sort of read it straight off the page. I like to read [inaudible] with poetry. We do .. We’ve done a bit of poetry at the reading group, but I’ve also got a few, quite a few poetry books that I read as well.

So you just read it aloud to yourself then?

I do, yes. I do, I read aloud. I used to read aloud to my grandson as he was getting .. I’ve not done, funnily enough, to my granddaughter, but my grandson, when I was looking after him, I used to read out of the poetry book and just read a few words to him.
