RUM 7th July 2022
The Research Update Meeting is exactly that: an opportunity for us to hear how our local SLT colleagues are progressing in their research projects and to update in some key areas at a national level. We are pleased to welcome delegates in person this year.
We have set up a padlet here for you to easily access all the information you will need on the day, including information about the Lightning Talks and opportunity to leave questions and comments for the speakers.
Here is a preview of the day we have planned for you:
Derek Munn is Director of policy and public affairs at RCSLT. He will talk to us on the topic “From evidence to impact: using research to influence change”.
Katie Chadd is Research manager at RCSLT. She will update us on the support and resources available for SLTs to be research-active clinicians.
Dr Hazel Roddam led the development of the new AHP Research and Innovation Strategy for England. She will help us explore what this means for us, and share her own experiences as an SLT engaged in research.
Lightning talks: We will hear from 16 local SLT colleagues about their research projects.
There will be opportunities to ask questions and think about your own research plans during the day.
Don't forget the NESLTRN AGM. Current officers will present reports on the past year's activity. We are looking for new committee members.
