A new special issue of the International Journal of Practice-based Learning in Health and Social Care has been published on “Improving Care and Outcomes through NMAHP Research-Focused Clinical Academic Roles – An International Perspective”. This series of articles outlines the value of clinical academics and may be used to influence allocation of research time in your service. The Council for Allied Health Professions Research (CAHPR) has published a Research Practitioner’s Framework, aimed at supporting practitioners, managers, educators and leaders to review and plan practitioner roles, activity and support systems within a range of settings. The Research Practitioner’s Framework is available here

Health Education England (HEE) published their AHP Research and Innovation Strategy in January 2022. This is the culmination of months of work led by Dr Hazel Roddam. The AHP Research and Innovation Strategy and associated webinars are available here.  

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) have developed a SLT Research Practitioner Framework Resource Map. Information about its development and the resource map can be accessed on the RCSLT website here.
