Through the creation of NECEM, we aim to provide synergy between engineers, chemists, biologists and physicists.  With a wide variety of research areas and world leading facilities our ambition is to:

• discover new functional materials and methods
• exploit our multidisciplinary expertise to solve complex problems
• structure a critical mass with industrial partners
• collaborate with other energy centres
