Professor Kenneth Pechter
Kenneth Pechter is a Japan-based producer and professor of innovation management specializing in creative industries. As Japan agent for The Second Bakery Attack he brought the film to the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2010, the same year that Tran Anh Hung’s Norwegian Wood was released, and distributed it in Japan thereafter. As producer his most recent film Free Foot Jam premiered at the Kendal Mountain Festival in 2016. He is currently co-producing Shinpan, director John Williams’ re-telling of Kafka’s The Trial placed in modern-day Japan. He has worked extensively in Japan’s media & entertainment industries, and was previously professor of interdisciplinary information studies at the University of Tokyo.
