Mini MBA Success for Amy Wiseman

In 2025, BiSCoP CTP students took part in the Mini MBA course at Durham University where they competed in groups to create a business idea, and pitch it before a panel of experts and entrepreneurs. Congratulations to this year’s winning group, which included Amy Wiseman who is aligned to the MoSMed CDT, and her colleagues Ella Finley, Maryam Malik, Nicole Barrett and Anna Rhodes, who prepared a business idea for a sustainable baby care product that reduces food waste.

Amy had this to say: "It was a rewarding experience to collaborate with a brilliant team of other students on this project. Sustainability is one of the most important issues we face as a society, and the challenge gave us an opportunity to develop innovative solutions to this problem."

Well done to all who took part! Notably, the Mini MBA is a qualification a large number of MoSMed CDT student have completed as well, providing a wealth of business skills to our scientists, helping prepare them for industry jobs or in creating businesses of their own!
