Project Summary: Bacteriophages contain the largest reservoir of unknown genetic material on the planet. My project will involve predicting 3D protein structures from bacteriophage metagenomic data sets to identify novel protein targets with properties useful for biotechnology. The initial target is the endolysin enzyme family, these proteins are promising antimicrobials involved in peptidoglycan breakdown and cell lysis.

Interesting Fact: I have owned 11 cats in my life.
